In October, Singapore Changi Airport has been voted the "Best Airport in the World" in a reader survey conducted by the UK/Europe edition of Business Traveller magazine. This is the Changi has received the award. Changi Airport was voted first for luggage retrieval and customs clearance in the survey as well. The award was presented to Mr Wong Woon Liong, Director-General of Civil Aviation by Britain's Princess Anne in a ceremony held in London on 3 October 2001.
Changi Airport has also been voted in the recent Wanderlust Travel Awards 2001. This is the second time Changi is receiving this award.
