From 1 August 2002, if you
meet with a motor accident and wish to make a claim, you should send
your car to an Idac within 24 hours of the accident, before you send
your car to the workshop.
The IDAC will certify the
extent of the damage and photograph the damage. It does not assess the
repair cost. You can also make the accident report at the IDAC.
All Idacs are opened 24
hours to receive accident vehicles. However for making an accident
report and/or damage assessment, please take note of the respective
IDACs' operating hours. You would like to call them before making the
trip down.
