Signature Dish Award:
Borsch Soup – This full-bodied traditional Russian soup
consists of beef and beetroot with sour cream, and has all the goodness
of fresh vegetables and a wonderful aroma.
Minskaya Kotleta – This perfectly roasted tender chicken
leg stuffed with delicious mushrooms will keep you coming back for more.
Served with a portion of Russian salad for that refreshing crunch.
Blinchiki Apple – A nice round off to your meal is in this
pancake stuffed with fresh apple served with honey and whipped cream,
which is simply heavenly.
Specialities:
Nadezhda is truly an avenue for the enrichment of any food lover’s
palate. Just about the only Russian restaurant in Singapore with Russian
chefs, 3 to be exact, Nadezhda brings the mouth-watering flavours of
Russia to our doorstep. Start with their traditional Pirozhki,
which are little dumplings with vegetable or meat fillings, and are best
eaten fresh out of the oven. For the main course, try another
traditional Russian delicacy, the Beef Stroganoff, a simmering
stew of tender sirloin beef strips, with mushrooms, tomato juice, sour
cream, and other ingredients that add so much flavour to this dish. You
must leave room for dessert – their Blinchiki with Ice Cream, a
good old-fashioned pancake with a scoop of ice cream, is pure bliss.
Ambience:
Sprinkled with Russian ornaments like traditional artefacts, intricately
woven carpets and cross-stitch handiworks personally done by the owner’s
mother, this restaurant exudes a homely and friendly atmosphere.
