TIBS Taxis Pte Ltd (has recently been renamed as SMRT Taxis Pte Ltd.), a 100 % subsidiary of TIBS Holdings, was inaugurated on 7 December 1989 and started operations on 2 May 1990 with an initial fleet of 50 taxis. Since then, the company has been growing at a steady rate and currently has a fleet of 2000 taxis on the road.
