Towards the end of the 20th century, there were many reports and news headlines concerning the Global Warming by environmental groups and scientists around the world voicing their dissatisfaction over the use of toxic products during / from processing of raw materials to finished products which caused the drastic climate change.

Being aware of the environmental conditions, Span Enterprise through their Research and Development had created a range of environmental friendly products for the building industry.

PRODUCTS

1.  Clarseal Liquid Apply Waterproofing Membrane (Water-based)

Clarseal is a single water-based component liquid applied waterproofing membrane and is an alternative to polyurethane solvent membrane.

Applications:-

1.  Swimming and Wading Pools
2.  Ponds and Water Features
3.  Flat Roofs, Roof Gardens & Terrace

This can also be used for factories where waterproofing membrane should not contain solvent especially where sesitive equipment is used in the units such as the Wafer Plant and others.

2.  FASTSEAL Water-based Liquid Apply Wateproofing Membrane

Fastseal is a single component product consisting of high grade polymer incorporated with other fillers to create a film thickness and upon set, become a tough, durable and yet flexible seamless waterproofing membrance which will prevent water penetration.

Areas of Application:

1.  Wet Areas consisting of toilets, kitchen and yard
2.  Balconies
3.  AC Ledge and Bay windows
4.  Planter Boxes

3.  SLX 231 Bonding Agent & Waterproofing Additive

SLX 231 is a totally different product from other bonding agents because this product combines the two different products into one. Therefore, it not only acts as the bonding agent but also waterproofs the plaster externally and to floor screed.

In our climatic changes, constant shrinkage cracks will occur to the external wall thus allowing water penetration into the plaster wall which causes the paint work to develop into a chalky surface. The appearance of the paint will fade to a lighter tone after 3 years. By adding SLX 231 into the plaster with a ratio of 1 part cement to 3 part plastering sand and at a rate of 1 litre per 50 kg cement, SLX231 will react with the cement in the mix which eventually close-up the capillaries in the plaster to prevent acid rain from penetrating.

Many contractors have been using this product and find that it is useful as they had previously encountered continuous problems of water seepage into the units causing the internal paint to peel-off.

The purpose of developing SLX 231 is to solve the problems, not only to prevent water seepage but also to develop a lasting external surface paint tone.

4.  CRST Crystalline Coating

The development of CRST is to solve leakage problems as a repair product; basement tanking system; or on ground slab to prevent water penetration, rising dampness and also to prevent water seepage from the external paint work causing the paint to peel off.

The function of CRST chemically neutralizes and seals the concrete substrate within and also reacts with the soluble salts found in all cement. Water washes these salts to the surface. Later the water evaporates and the salts are deposited behind as white stains. This process is called efflorescence.

Through its capillaries action, concrete allows water to penetrate into the substrate but by using CRST will combine with the salt to form insoluble crystal attacing efflorescence at it source. It also prevents water penetrating through hydrostatic pressure.

5.  SPANSEAL WB

Spanseal WB is a water based, acrylic sealer designed specifically for use on masonary surfaces of all types. This product protects masonary surfaces by forming a clear membrane which will prevent moisture penetration. Spanseal WB is non yellowing under ultra-violet exposure and is highly resistant to blushing when exposed to water. It is VOC compliant with low odour and dries clear.

6.  WASEAL CR PAINT (WCR)

Waseal CR Paint (WCR) is a specially formulated waterbased acrylic performance paint used for internal and external plaster wall. It acts like any ordinary paint but what makes it different is its self-cleaning and crystallization effect. WCR paint which converts all soluble salts referred as free lime to insoluble minerals. These insoluble minerals precipitate into the capillaries as very fine micro-crystals in the plaster wall. Combined with the micro-pore structure, this results in a plaster mass which can withstand the penetration of water. The micro-pores are hydrophobic and even though the system breathes, condensation cannot form.

Using WCR Paint will resolve the problems of water penetration, dirt and dust when it rains. It will not only repel the acid rain water but also automatically drain away dust from its surface and the color tone of the paint will last longer than any other paint in the market.

7.  WASEAL 105
Liquid Applied Elastomeric Acrylic Seamless Waterproofing Membrane

Waseal 105 is a water based one-component acrylic seamless waterproofing, weather resistance membrane when cured, can be left exposed.
