SriLankan Airlines, national carrier of
Sri Lanka, started its operations in 1979 and is currently the
largest foreign carrier into India.
With an all Airbus fleet that is one of
the most modern in the region, SriLankan's route network spans 49
destinations and 28 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Indian
subcontinent and the Far East.
The airline won the prestigeous "Best
Airline in South Asia" award at the TTG Travel Awards for the third
time in 2005 and is a regular winner at the World Airline
Entertainment Association's Avion Awards which recognise airlines
with outstanding in-flight entertainment programmes.
