• A philosophy professor stood before his class and had some items in front of him. When class began, wordlessly he picked up a large empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks right to the top, rocks about 2" in diameter. He then asked the students if the jar was full? They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them in to the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles,of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. The students laughed. He asked his students again if the jar was full? They agreed that yes, it was. The professor then picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up every-thing else.

  "Now," said the professor, "I want you to recognize that this is your life. The rocks are the important things - your family, your partner, your health, your children - anything that is so important to you that if it were lost, you would be nearly destroyed. The pebbles are the other things in life that matter, but on a smaller scale. The pebbles represent things like your job, house, or car. The sand is everything else, the small stuff."

  "If you put the sand or the pebbles into the jar first, there is no room for the rocks. The same goes for your life. If you spend all your energy and time on the small stuff, material things, you will never have room for the things that are truly most important."
  
  * Pay attention to the things that are critical in your life.
  * Play with your children.
  *  Take time to get medical checkups.
  * Take your partner out dancing.
  * There will always be time to go to work, clean the house, give a dinner party and fix the disposal.
  * Take care of the rocks first - the things that really matter.
  * Set your priorities, the rest is just pebbles and sand.
  * May there always be work for your hands to do;
  * May your purse always hold a coin or two;
  * May the sun always shine on your windowpane;
  * May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
  * May the hand of a friend always be near you;
  * May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

  "Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air.
  You name them - work, family, health, friends and spirit and you're keeping all of these in the air.
  You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back.
  But the other four balls - family, health, friends and spirit - are made of glass.
  If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked,
  nicked, damaged or even shattered.
  They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for Balance in your life."
  
  How?
  
  * Don't undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. it is because we are different that each of us is special.
  * Don't set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you.
  * Don't take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as you would your life, for without them, life is meaningless.
  * Don't let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or
  for the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live all the
  days of your life.
  * Don't give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.
  * Don't be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect. It is this
  fragile thread that binds us to each together.
  * Don't be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.
  * Don't shut love out of your life by saying it's impossible to find
  time.
  * The quickest way to receive love is to give; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly; and the best way to keep love is to give it wings.
  * Don't run through life so fast that you forget not only where you've been, but also where you are going.
  * Don't forget, a person's greatest emotional need is to feel
  appreciated.
  * Don't be afraid to learn. Knowledge is weightless, a treasure you can always carry easily.
  * Don't use time or words carelessly. Neither can be retrieved. Life is  not  a race, but a journey to be savoured each step of the way.

• COMPLEXITY IS THE RESULT OF FAILED SIMPLICITY
• Everyone wants to be like everyone else. But the only way to make money is to be different from everyone else.

• Money is not important Money is secondary. It is a by-product of good work. Hence we must always see that our work is good. If work is good, money comes by automatically.

  And good work comes by

  • hard-work
  • knowledge and its use
  • sincerety
  • continuous improvement in our work
  • continuous upgrading of our skills
  • honesty
  • feeling the requirements of the customer and meeting those requirements
  • good management
     

• This is a good example of an  answer to one of the most common reasons people give for ignoring God and His goodness.
  
  A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various  subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists."
  
  "Why do you say  that?" asked the customer.
  
  "Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God  existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a  loving a God who would allow all of these things."
  
  The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to  start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left  the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt.
  
  The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist."
  
  "How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"
  
  "No!" the  customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside."
  
  "Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens, is, people do not come to me."
  
  "Exactly!"- affirmed the customer. "That's the  point! God, too, DOES exist! What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him. That's why there's so much pain and suffering  in the world."
